Featuring Olympic Representative Colin McIntosh
With his experience competing at the Seoul Olympics for the New Zealand showjumping team, Colin offers a unique perspective for riders wanting to excel in showjumping.
Colin and his wife, Toni McIntosh, have an extensive background in all things equestrian—both grew up on family farms in New Zealand and started riding and competing their own ponies from an early age. Both offer many years of experience, having first competed as Eventers to the Advanced level and then as Showjumpers to the Grand Prix level. As trainers, Colin and Toni have trained riders who have successfully gone on to represent New Zealand at the International level. Beyond the saddle, Colin and Toni have organized leading horse shows in New Zealand, including Olympic and World Championship qualifying events. They have also been involved in the establishment of the Equestrian Coaching Program in New Zealand.
Colin and Toni's lives are 'all about horses' and when not involved in training or showing, they take time to travel on buying trips - always on the lookout for horses which might meet their clients needs.
McIntosh Stables is situated at the picturesque Portola Valley Training Center, home to over 200 horses, and located a few minutes off the 280 freeway in Menlo Park, California.
